My handcrafted Shaker Oval Baskets are reproductions of the original designs, made famous by the Shaker community during the mid 19th century. The baskets range from size 0 through 5, having thin slender sides and symmetrical joints. The sides are held tightly together using copper tacks; the bottom is held in place using wooden pegs, forming a very strong and decorative basket.

My Shaker oval baskets are individual and unique. Each piece of wood that they are crafted from has its own characteristics. When purchasing more than one in the same wood, I will do my best to match as close as possible the structure and shade of the wood.
